Patrick J. Gless
Associate Director, Healthcare Decision Analysis
Patrick Gless is associate director of the Healthcare Decision Analysis and Biopharmaceutical Marketing programs at the USC School of Pharmacy and Schaeffer Center for Health Policy & Economics. He also serves as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at USC Price School of Public Policy where he teaches health economics and finance.
Mr. Gless has 15 years of healthcare experience, specializing in economics of healthcare reform and biopharmaceutical market access. He held management management positions at Precision Health Economics, a consulting firm providing advanced health economics research to biopharmaceutical, health insurance and health technology companies. He has also advised investment management firms on valuing innovation in the biotechnology sector.
Prior to consulting, Mr. Gless served in the United States Army as a combat medic — including deployments throughout the Horn of Africa and the Middle East — and as a healthcare adviser to the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq.
Mr. Gless is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators and serves on several healthcare advisory boards. He received his M.S. in Healthcare Decision Analysis, Master of Health Administration, and B.S. magna cum laude in Public Policy, Management and Planning from the University of Southern California.
