USC Healthcare Decision Analysis degree focusing on pharmaceutical value, access, reimbursement, and pricing
The Master of Science in Healthcare Decision Analysis degree will be granted upon the completion of all formal course work. Students will select from a series of unique courses spanning the disciplines of applied healthcare policy and insurance design, health analytics and pricing, and competitive business intelligence along with a series of elective courses offered in the USC School of Pharmacy. Students with appropriate industry or laboratory experience can substitute an equivalent amount of formal coursework for a research project as a part of program completion. Students are recommended to develop a specific plan of study in consultation with program administrators before beginning the program, to ensure that each student’s individual career goals are met.

  • Full-Time: The HCDA program is designed to be completed in four to five semesters
  • Part-Time: The part-time schedule is also available, intended for working professionals (domestic students only) and can be completed in two to four years, depending on the level of availability and use of the summer semester for electives
  • 12-Month: The gap year schedule is designed primarily for pre-med/health students seeking to complete the HCDA program before medical school and can be completed in three semesters
